Whether it’s gleeful accordion improvisation or hell-raising noise explorations, Nick Boutwell (aka Whitey Alabastard) has made an artistic career of being unpredictable. His performance on June 1 at Venture Compound found him screaming into a mic’d-up plastic bucket full of coins, gyrating wildly, and eventually tossing the entirety of the bucket’s contents over the floor of the space – all the while sound-tracking the entrance of a quizzical blue-haired woman in a gas mask, who posed menacingly in time with Boutwell’s sonic ooze. It was terrifying and baffling in equal measure, but definitely a sight to see, if nothing else. https://soundcloud.com/whitey-alabastard
