This week has been filled with growth, with Burger Culture, Pacific Counter and King of the Coop announcing second (and third) locations. We also say goodbye to the short-lived Le Boudoir Restaurant after only four months in business. Buckle up for this week’s roundups of food news.

Openings

BarrieHaus Beer Co. This weekend we will welcome a new lager-specific brewery to the streets of Ybor. The grand-opening celebration kicks off on Saturday, December 14 from noon-midnight on Saturday, and from noon-6 p.m. Sunday. 1403 E. 5th Ave., Ybor City. barriehaus.com

Burger Culture The build-your-own burger restaurant opened a new location in Ybor. You can make your burger as simple, or as over-the-top as your heart desires. The joint also has a location up and running in Carrollwood at 6920 N. Dale Mabry Hwy. 1821 E. 7th Ave., Ybor City. 813-992-7444.

Coming Soon

Cigar City Brewing Taproom Amalie Arena (stylized "AMALIE") is debuting a brand spankin' new Cigar City taproom within the next couple of weeks below the Pam Iorio Parking Garage. Club 201 Looks like St. Pete is getting a speakeasy. The concept is set to host indoor and outdoor seating. Expect cocktails, CBD-infused offerings and small bites. 201 Central Ave., St. Petersburg. 813- 501-5661.

King of the Coop The Nashville hot chicken spot in Seminole Heights will be launching a second location at The Grove in Wesley Chapel. KOTC owner, Joe Dodd, hopes to open the doors within the next five months. Pacific Counter After a little over a year in business in St. Pete, Pacific Counter is launching a second location in Lakewood Ranch, which is set to open in March 2020. he fast-casual restaurant cranks out create-your-own sushi burritos and poké bowls. The Blend Not one, but two locations of The Blend are set to open within a three-month span. The first, set to make its debut this month on the ground floor of the 490 First building, and the second at 1211 4th St. N. in the Historic Old Northeast neighborhood by January/February. 

Closings

Le Boudoir Restaurant After a hot tip from a reader of the restaurant’s closure, CL called Le Boudoir and just seconds after dialing, a recording played, "no routes found." Le Boudoir Restaurant took over So Gourmet in late July, at 3301 S. Dale Mabry HWY in Tampa. The space is now up for sale.
