Bill Nelson's spokesman says the senator DOES have an opinion on "stand your ground"

In the aftermath of George Zimmerman's acquittal in the Trayvon Martin case, a number of Florida Democrats have called for the controversial "stand your ground" law to be re-examined, with many legislators calling for a special session to do so.

But when Bill Nelson was asked about that on Monday, the Florida Democratic senator demurred, saying, "Look, I've got enough trouble to try to get things done in Washington. I'm not going to weigh in on the state legislature."

CL posted that story with the headline Bill Nelson doesn't have much of an opinion on "stand your ground."

The Tampa Tribune's William March, who was also at the press conference at Tampa International Airport, wrote a similar story, entitled, "Nelson won't take sides on Stand Your Ground."

But according to Nelson's chief spokesman, Dan McLaughlin, both March and yours truly weren't accurate. How's that?
