As promised, we've shifted New Music Tuesday to New Tunes Day, since new albums releases now fall on Fridays. Which is actually a good thing, since that means I can share so much more with all you fabulous readers. Instead of a curated list of what's out. I'll be offering a curated look at fresh videos created for already-dropped 2015 LPs, stand-alone singles and cuts off forthcoming LPs, remixes, and anything else that's fresh, tasty and should be in your ears. I'll also offer a condensed peek at what's to come on Friday, with links to full album streams included...
The Bird And The Bee, "Los Angeles"
The indie pop duo made up of dulcet-toned songbird Inara George and her buzzy counterpart, Greg Kurstin, have a fourth full-length dropping on Friday, Recreational Love, and just debuted a new video for the single "Los Angeles," which pays tribute to their hometown with cooing and grooving breeziness. There's even a spoken word passage that I don't hate, perhaps because Inara George's vocals are just so damn darling. The album is streaming in full now at Spotify. Video below.

St. Pete's Sonic Graffiti has been on the road, raging venues in Atlanta, Philly, Boston and Brooklyn and melting fresh faces with their their grimy raw brand of garage-punk soul and hard voodoo blues. In the midst of these dates, they've started dropping videos for songs off their forthcoming second LP Under the Under Dogs, produced by Brian Merrill at his Superbee Studio (which we feature in this week's upcoming Music Issue - stay tuned for that), and due out sometime in the nearish future. Can't help but dig the title of "Fuck the Police Fuck the Jesus Freaks," and it's just as deliciously raucous as you might imagine. Check it below; music video by Alexa Le Tigre.
Heather Woods Broderick, "Mama Shelter"
There's just something 'bout Ms. Broderick that is so tastefully alluring, serene yet somehow sultry. She's a member of Sharon Van Etten's band, tours and records with Efterklang, and issued out her new sophomore LP, Glider, on Western Vinyl last week. Heather is currently celebrating the release Glider with a new video for the track, “Mama Shelter," which has rather intriguing dub-percussive appeal. The mini film is shot in one continuous take, and follows a man dancing his way through the rooms of an abandoned hospital outside Rio de Janeiro. He's not a professional dancer, nor did he listen to the song prior to shooting. According to director Andrew Gallo, “I'm interested purely in the connection between natural movement and response to an arrangement of sounds we've never heard before ... I believe our initial response is our most telling to how the music affects us deep within a place we can't get to any other way.” This is the first in Gallo's an ongoing series featuring non-dancers giving in-the-moment responses to music.
Chemical Brothers, "Under the Neon Lights"
Sometimes I'm a little slow on the uptake, and somehow I missed the news that Chemical Brothers are releasing an eighth studio album (and first new effort in five years) on July 24 — Born in the Echoes. Wasn't really digging the direction they seemed to be headed post We Are the Night, but this track intrigues with its dark and dirty Detroit techno influences, mix of fat retro synths and thinner pinpoints of melody, and sensual feminine vocals. Good Graeff, "Good Touch"
Sarasota-spawned twin sister indie pop duo Good Graeff is hitting town this Fri., July 17, to play an album release show at Crowbar in honor of their just-dropped EP, Good Job Go. This is the album's second single.
Dirty Ghosts, "Cataract"
And finally, the title track from a forthcoming EP by San Francisco's snotty '80s-hued post-punk rockers Dirty Ghosts, which are led by multi-talented bassist/singer Erin McDermott. The Cataract EP drops July 24 via Burger Records; sophomore full-length Let It Pretend will be issued via Last Gang later this year.
