Puff 'n Stuff is what's up with that huge building you've been passing along Columbia Avenue in Tampa.

To better accommodate its clients on the west coast, the Central Florida catering and events company has expanded to a former warehouse and office space near Interstate 4. This second location from Puff 'n Stuff at 5804 E. Columbus Drive opened in December; the company has operated out of its Orlando home base for 30-plus years.

Weighing in at 32,000 square feet, the remodeled building features a chef's table, where clients sample menu items for special events of all sizes, and a restaurant-like open kitchen. The space may also be used to host local fundraisers or private functions.

A commercial bakery, 3,000 square feet of refrigeration and office space are included in the complex, as are commercial laundry, gasoline and diesel supplies for company delivery trucks, back-up generators, and industrial dishwashing systems.

CEO and owner Warren Dietel purchased the family business from his parents in 2003, and says the new location allows Puff 'n Stuff to increase production. The company has been servicing Tampa events, such as the Republican National Convention, for six years.
