Associated Press calls Republican Governor's race for Rick Scott -McCollum refuses to concede

We did predict that the Bill McCollum-Rick Scott would go deep into the night, but all signs are that Rick Scott is going to pull it off.

Don't tell the GOP establishment, however. State Senator Adam Hasner is clearly in denial, introducing McCollum at McCollum's party celebration event moments ago as "the next Governor of Florida!"

McCollum spoke to his supporters to let them know that he was still around, and was not conceding. Mike Haridopolos, Dean Cannon, Speaker Larry Cretul, Ag.Secretary Charles Bronson, they're all there in Longwood.

"This has been a tough, grueling battle," McCollum said, waiting for South Florida counties to report. "We're not where we want to be," he admitted.

"Regardless of the outcome of this race, it's still a great state," McCollum said, not sounding very confident.

Immediately after he finished, the AP announced that Rick Scott had won the Republican primary election.
