Discussion on transit tax to take place Thursday night at Tampa Museum of Art

In what is being billed as an "open and candid" discussion on the November 2 vote in Hillsborough County on a penny sales tax that will go to improving transit, the local group Urban Charette is hosting such an event Thursday night at the Tampa Art Museum from 6 to 8 p.m.

Urban Charette organizers say the roundtable is designed as an informal "Living Room" discussion with members of the community asking questions about the proposal.

They plan to separate such questions into what they call their Sustainable Design Assessment Team (SDAT), identified as elements of a livable city, which include the arts community, the local economy, transportation options, improved public spaces and empowered neighborhoods.

This reporter will be moderating the event.  If you have any questions you'd like to see posed at the event, you can write to the Facebook page designed for the event, or contact me directly at [email protected]
