Lightning shut out in game three

Just a step behind.

That is the best way to describe the effort put forth by the Tampa Bay Lightning in game three of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Boston Bruins. For every play the Lightning tried to attempt, the Bruins were right there with an answer. They controlled the pace of play throughout, and played their system to a tee. The Lightning on the other hand, looked like a team that was skating in quick sand for much of the evening in losing to the Boston Bruins 2-0.

“Offensively, I don’t feel that we paid the price.” Marty St. Louis said. “I think we have in the past couple of games. I am not going to use any cliches here, we just didn’t get the job done."
