It's President's Day — Mon., Feb. 15. Go see some live music! Here's a few shows happening tonight.
Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo We see this duo in Tampa Bay fairly regularly. Neil Giraldo has been collaborating with Pat Benatar since her ‘80s pop “Love Is a Battlefield” days, and played in pretty much every one of her touring bands, but has only stepped to the forefront with his better-known other half in more recent years. In sum, nothing’s much changed – it’s still a hits parade – but the name on the bill now features his name in lights, too. (Capitol Theatre, Clearwater)
Doug MacLeod A venerable acoustic bluesman with a compelling storytelling style, more than 300 songwriting credits, and a long list of accolades that most recently includes an impressive three 2016 Blues Music Award nominations for Acoustic Artist, Acoustic Album (for 2015 studio LP Exactly Like This) and Song (“You Got It Good (and That Ain’t Bad)”). (Hideaway Café & Recording Studio, St. Petersburg)
