Ah, damn, co-owner and head brewer Jim Barrie is ready to carry on his family legacy of brewing next weekend at the new lager-specific brewery, BarrieHaus Beer Co., in Ybor City.
The grand opening celebration kicks off on Saturday, December 14 from noon-midnight on Saturday, and from noon-6 p.m. Sunday.
Barrie has had yeast flowing through his family tree since 1863, and his crew consisting of co-Founder and Director of Hoperations, Brittney Barrie, alongside co-owner and Director of Sales & Relationships Junbae Lee are itching to open the doors to Ybor's forthcoming hangout, at 1403 E. 5th Ave.
The grand-opening tap list includes six lagers, one of which being a Vienna lager called Family Tradition. Two ales are also on the drinkable menu, one of which being a festive stout named Santa's Shifty.
On Saturday, Mike's Big Dawgs mobile food cart will be on-site slinging loaded hot dogs and Italian sausages, along with bacon cheeseburgers. DJ Don Pablo will also be spinning throughout the day.
After the grand opening, taproom hours will be Tuesday through Thursday 4 p.m.-10 p.m., Friday 4 p.m.-midnight, Saturday noon-midnight and Sunday noon-6 p.m.
