Hey, y'all, are you bored by quiz show offerings and all-you-can-eat midnight buffets? Well, Carnival Cruises has something up its sleeve to get you jaded sailors excited about oceangoing again: a roller coaster.
Because nothing says "relaxing on the tranquil blue waters of the blue ocean" more than hurtling over the ocean at a speed of your own choosing.
That's right, Carnival's going to let riders choose their own speed. Since humans drinking in the sun all day make nothing but good decisions, this is bound to get interesting.
The coaster, set to debut in 2020 on the Carnival Mardi Gras (which won't sail out of New Orleans, but Port Canaveral) will take riders 187 feet above the ocean on a motorcycle-style thrill ride.
TBH, though, we're disappointed in the name: Bolt.
We would've named it the Poseidon Adventure.
