Do This: Muse@MFA

A first for St. Petersburg Arts Alliance, Muse@MFA promises to be a uniquely fun fundraiser.

Spend tomorrow evening cavorting with Tampa Bay’s artistes, partying in unconventional style.
The inaugural, ostensibly annual Muse@MFA, presented by the St. Petersburg Arts Alliance, promises to be an un-stuffy affair at St. Pete's Museum of Fine Arts that doesn’t force feed you a rubber chicken dinner and lull you to sleep with boring speeches.

We’re told that guests will be treated to a soiree with interactive digital art, pop-up performances, fashion and artful dinner courses amid decor and themes influenced by local artists. The event honors two linchpins in the local scene: Studio@620 co-founder and producing art director Bob Devin Jones and Becca McCoy, actress, singer cabaret artist and community volunteer (she's appearing in the current production of Disenchanted! too). Each will be presented with an original glass award from Duncan McClellan Glass, designed by Jacob Stout and Mariel Bass.

Proceeds go to Arts Alliance programs. Fri., Jan. 31, 5-9 p.m., 255 Beach Drive N.E., St. Petersburg. $100. stpeteartsalliance.org. Pictured: Becca McCoy, left, publicity photo; Bob Devin Jones, photo by Todd Bates.
