Dear lord, we beseech thee to grant our prayers so that in the last week of this 2006 campaign season we can witness:
- Charlie Crist agree that Jim Davis' attendance record in Congress while he was trying to run and win a Democratic primary campaign isn't relevant.
- Davis and the St. Pete Times agree that two temporary signs on downtown Tampa buildings touting Crist's campaign â and the brouhaha over the legality or illegality of them â doesn't matter one bit to Florida voters.
- More funny ads of an animated Phyllis Busansky.
- Davis no longer using the phrase "stay the course" to describe Crist.
- Crist no longer staying the course.
- The end of 15-second political TV ads.
- Katherine Harris pull even with Bill Nelson so that the daily press will have to start writing about her again. I know this is wrong to wish for. But I miss the wackiness.
- Both Kim Berfield and Charlie Justice being legally removed from the ballot and a permanent injunction filed against either campaign running more TV ads.
- Any of the following candidates actually show up at a debate: Jim Norman, Ronda Storms, Gus Bilirakis.
- Just one more Donald Rumsfeld meltdown.
