The Green Report Card website, run by the Sustainable Endowments Institute, is pretty amazing. You can search for any school to view its grades in being green, or easily compare an entire list of schools of your choice. The purpose is simple: to tell you how sustainable campus operations and endowment investments are at various colleges.
According to The Green Report card, "sustainability" is quoted, "meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs." This website uses an independent sustainability evaluation to assess 300 public and private colleges and Universities in the U.S. and Canada. The report uses a structured assessment method and a sound methodology to bring us the facts about our nation's schools.
