David Gilmour's new double album and concert DVD functions as a fitting memorial to Pink Floyd founding member Richard Wright, who died Sept. 15. Gilmour and his electric guitar, or sax, or banjo or acoustic slide guitar (he switches it up) remain the focus throughout, but it's nice to see Wright seated behind his keyboards as the two men lead the band, often backed by a full orchestra, through a few too many pedestrian Gilmour solo cuts and Pink Floyd chestnuts like "Astronomy Domine," "Echoes" and "Comfortably Numb." The well-directed movie captures a 2006 laser-light-show-intensive concert at Gdansk, Poland in front of 50,000. 3.5 stars —WT
