Gibsonton isn't really known for its luxury properties. However, an $18-million bayfront home on U.S. 41 — the one that's got everyone talking — just might flip the script.
Even Forbes is paying attention.
On the market since last week, the 10,410-square-foot Victory Mansion sits on a 13-acre parcel at the end of a private peninsula, offering unobstructed views of downtown Tampa and St. Petersburg. The asking price, according to the Tampa Bay Times, also includes some uplands, canals, small islands and bay bottom to total nearly 200 acres.
Forbes says the home with six bedrooms and six full baths is "all about the ceilings."
"Nearly every main room and bedroom has intricate one-of-a-kind details to draw your eye up and act as its own statement piece," writes the business magazine.
On top of the impressive hand-painted ceilings, other coveted amenities abound: hurricane impact windows and doors, gated entry, a movie theater, an infinity pool with spa, tennis and basketball courts, an indoor gym, a boat dock, a private beach, and a rooftop deck.
