September continues with lots of tasty new releases. I've included info and links for the ones you want to know about most below, plus some other ones you may not have heard of (but should know), with audio & video for your listening and viewing pleasure. Click here to check out releases that dropped over the past few months.

The Adicts, All The Young Droogs (self-release)

Ben Arthur, If You Look for My Heart (sonaBLAST! Records)

The Avett Brothers, The Carpenter (Universal Republic)
The spirited folk/Americana quintet presents a sixth LP; the Avetts perform as the headliner at Clearwater Jazz Holiday on Sun., Oct. 21. Admission is $10 per day in advance ($15 Sat.-Sun., $30 four-day pass). Click here to order.

William Basinski, The Disintegration Loops (Temporary Residence Ltd.)

Marco Benevento, TigerFace (Royal Potato Family)
Keys wizard Marco Benevento presents his fourth album of instrumental post-jazz rock, in the vein of Tortoise and Brian Eno, with brighter and more heavily shimmering sonic colors as created by Benevento on acoustic piano, synths and analog keyboards. The album was recorded by Tom Biller (Fiona Apple) and Bryce Goggin (Pavement) along with Matt Chamberlain (Bill Frisell), John McEntire (Tortoise), Andrew Barr (The Barr Brothers), Dave Dreiwitz (Ween), Reed Mathis (Tea Leaf Green), Mike Gordon (Phish) and Stuart Bogie (Antibalas). Listen to "This Is How It Goes" featuring vocals by Kalmia Traver of Rubblebucket below.

Kix Brooks, New To This Town (Sony Nashville/Arista)
A solo outing from the former one-half of Brooks & Dunn.

David Byrne & St. Vincent, Love This Giant (4AD / Todo Mundo)
The new brass-infused joint collab from the iconic idiosyncratic musician and the experimental-classy indie piano-rocking songstress; I've been told it's "just not fair," in reference to just how goddamn good it was. Video for "Who" after the jump along with the rest of this week's new releases...
