This week, Panera Bread has plans to do good by making lemonade out of lemons.

Thirty of the bakery-cafe chain's participating Bay area locations will have lemonade stands set up on behalf of the Children's Cancer Center. The stands, built and decorated by Panera associates, will offer customers a cold sample of the brand's lemonade for donations of $1 or more.

Each contribution made on Friday and Saturday will go to the Panera Bread Knead for Knowledge Scholarship Program, which funds the weekly S.A.I.L (Students Achieving through Interactive Learning) program that the Children's Cancer Center offers. Through the lemonade stands, Covelli Family Limited Partnership, a franchisee of Panera, has donated close to $70,000.

Panera operates locally in Pinellas, Hillsborough and Pasco counties. A full list of locations can be found online.
