The Blue Ocean Film Festival and Conservation Summit Events continue throughout the weekend at the premiere event in St. Petersburg, culminating with a visit from Academy Award-winning actor Jeremy Irons and a showing of his muckraking documentary Trashed.  Read more here.

Sex Ed Premiere and After Party: The boy who sees dead people has grown up and starts in a coming-of-age comedy shot in Tampa. Academy Award nominee Haley Joel Osment's new film released theatrically Friday at the University Mall's new Studio Movie Grill at 6:10 and 8:40 p.m. Sex Ed was shot on location in Tampa Bay and features scenes from iconic Tampa sights like Ybor, The Hub and the Skyway Bridge. The official after party for the screening will be on Nov. 8 at the SoHo Backyard, a new gastropub on South Howard’s strip. Art, art and more art:   Picasso/Dalí Dalí/Picasso opens at the Dalí Museum, and two new exhibitions are opening at Morean Art Center. The nonprofit facility at 719 Central Ave. presents the 2014 Holiday Show and Sale and Thomas Murray: This is Our Garden during St. Pete’s Second Saturday Art Walk. Also, A Cut Above: Kerrick Johnson and Jon Goldberg opens with a reception at Duncan McClellan Glass. 5:30-8 p.m. artsstpete.org.

A-iist comedy with Lisa Lampanelli at Ruth Eckerd Hall and Ron White at Straz:  Lampanelli has long been a stand out in the comedy world for being an equal opportunity offender insulting everybody from celebrities at Comedy Central roasts to audience members at her sold out shows, it is what we have come to expect from her — as a comic. CL Record Fair and Silent Disco: CL is sponsoring two audiophile extravaganzas full of cool sights and sounds. Attend the Record Fair at the  The Tampa Museum of Art is partnering with local music experts at the Gasparilla Music Festival to pull off the funky-fun Silent Disco. At this groovy event, participants will hear music through their wireless headphones, which will be broadcast via a radio transmitter rather than a speaker system. In addition, attendees can also experience the museum’s site-specific exhibit, Translucence, during the dance-a-thon. Discover the Island 2014 If you’re itchin’ for a getaway and a little Florida history, take advantage of a chance to visit Egmont Key’s 156-year-old lighthouse, which will be open for a historic, commemorative anniversary event that has activities for all ages. See Civil War re-enactors, stroll the island on our self-guided walk with interpretive sites along the way, including nature, wildlife, military and history. There will be children’s games, live birds of prey and a silent auction. The Guardhouse will be open with new displays of island history and wildlife.
