Sex Ed Premiere and After Party: The boy who sees dead people has grown up and starts in a coming-of-age comedy shot in Tampa. Academy Award nominee Haley Joel Osment's new film released theatrically Friday at the University Mall's new Studio Movie Grill at 6:10 and 8:40 p.m. Sex Ed was shot on location in Tampa Bay and features scenes from iconic Tampa sights like Ybor, The Hub and the Skyway Bridge. The official after party for the screening will be on Nov. 8 at the SoHo Backyard, a new gastropub on South Howard’s strip. Producers and several cast members will be at the after party. Art, art and more art: Picasso/Dalí Dalí/Picasso opens at the Dalí Museum, and two new exhibitions are opening at Morean Art Center. CL Record Fair and Silent Disco: CL is sponsoring two audiophile extravaganzas full of cool sights and sounds. Attend the Record Fair at the The Tampa Museum of Art is partnering with local music experts at the Gasparilla Music Festival to pull off the funky-fun Silent Disco. At this groovy event, participants will hear music through their wireless headphones, which will be broadcast via a radio transmitter rather than a speaker system. See Civil War re-enactors, stroll the island on our self-guided walk with interpretive sites along the way, including nature, wildlife, military and history.
