Renaissance Hotels, generally known for delivering high-end service to travelers, have branched out to deliver unexpected cultural experiences for guests and surrounding communities, partnering with AEG Live and Billboard to present an exclusive concert series that brings a rising synth pop duo to St. Petersburg tomorrow night.
"The Navigator Live Series Presents MS MR at The Vinoy" features New York duo MS MR, made up of sultry-voiced singer Lizzy Plapinger (co-founder of pop imprint Neon Gold) and producer Max Hershenow, who've been crafting dance jams and hazy melodies since forming in 2011 and had their come out with 2012 dark-vibing heart-aching single "Hurricane." Debut album Secondhand Rapture followed in 2013. This stop falls behind the release of 2015 sophomore record How Does It Feel, which features collabs with MNDR and Tove Lo.
The Navigator Live Series is a concert event and television show that invites guests and viewers to explore different cities through via eyes of touring musicians – "the ultimate modern business traveler." Past editions have featured AWOLNATION, The Lone Bellow, Grouplove and La Roux, among others.
MS MR appear at The Vinoy Renaissance St. Petersburg Resort & Golf Club tomorrow (Fri., Dec. 4), 6-9 p.m., performing along with sharing their personally curated guide to favored local city finds that provide inspiration for their music and creativity.Highlight clips are available on the Renaissance Hotels YouTube page, while full episodes air in-room at Renaissance properties.
