Lightning dominate Boston 3-1 in 4th consecutive win

The Tampa Bay Lightning must circle the calendar when they see games against the Northeast division of late; in their previous four games, they’ve posted a 4-0-0 record against those teams. That trend continued Monday night at the St. Pete Times Forum, when Boston paid a visit and the Lightning defeated the Bruins 3-1. For the Bolts, the win extended their current streak to four.

The first period got off to a slow start, with both teams looking tentative and not getting a lot of shots through. The Lightning managed to draw a power-play, but were unable to convert. The shots at the end of the first were 11-7 in favor of Tampa Bay.

The second period was a different story for the Lightning; they were able to break through and get a few pucks behind Boston goalie Tuukka Rask.
