Do It This Weekend: Free food on Cow Appreciation Day, Ybor City Tattoo grand opening, Stageworks' As Bees in Honey Drown, Bluelucy's MUG show, the Xtreme Fighting Championships and more

Today is the only other day of the year you can get away with dressing like a bovine: Chik-fil-A is giving away free combo meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner to anyone who comes "fully dressed in cow attire," in honor of Cow Appreciation Day. Today's the day to proudly don your black and white spots, furry ears, cowbells and look udderly ridiculous for free grub. Check out Chik-fil-A's website for contest rules, costume ideas and a printable starter kit, and chew your cud at participating Chik-fil-A restaurants around the Bay area. Fri. What profession lend itself better to vis-arts exhibits than tattooing? Organizers promise the "first of many art shows," starting with the Ybor City Tattoo Grand Opening, featuring 20 to 30 paintings by local and international tattoo artists, many of whom stop by the shop to discuss their designs on opening night, from 6 to 10 p.m. on Sun., July 11. They're also giving out grown-up refreshments, including Sailor Jerry (how apropos!) as long as it lasts. yborcitytattoocompany.wordpress.com. Ybor City Tattoo Company, 1730 Seventh Ave., Tampa, free.
