No act could be deemed more appropriate to headline a festival promoting racial, religious and sexual tolerance than peacock pop star Boy George and his newly reunited Culture Club. BG and his original Kissing to Be Clever bandmates — guitarist/keysman Roy Hay, bassist Mikey Craig and drummer/percussionist Jon Moss — hit the Unity Festival in Madeira Beach this Saturday along with a whole lot of other diverse, ‘80s elite performers.
Among them are Howard Jones (“No One Is to Blame,” “And Do You Feel Scared?”), Soft Cell leader Marc Almond (of “Tainted Love” fame), C+C Music Factory (“Gonna Make You Sweat,” “Keep It Comin' (Dance Till You Can't Dance No More)”), and Book of Love (“Pretty Boys And Pretty Girls”).
