Della's After Dark, the Brandon eatery of chef Debbie Frangipane, who CL restaurant critic Jon Palmer Claridge called a "culinary Wonder Woman," will debut its first brunch on Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The series of Sunday brunches will run for six weeks, and five principal dishes will be highlighted.

Among the offerings are Belgian waffles with fresh fruit and Chambord whipped cream, Duck Hash — finished with a fried egg and served alongside pan-seared duck breast — and Eggs Benedict Oscar, which has shrimp and crab au gratin as well as other soul-warming fixin's.

Frangipane's French toast will also be featured. It's stuffed with tiramisu.

Flourless Chocolate Torte, jalapeño-cheddar biscuits with chorizo gravy and beverages like fresh-squeezed grapefruit juice, iced tea and cappuccinos round off the new brunch fare.

Live jazz performances will begin at noon, and reservations are preferred since seating is limited. Diners should reserve their spots online, or by calling Della's.
