St. Petersburg's budding craft beer scene has Pinellas Ale Works' brick-and-mortar space to look forward to, according to a Tampa Bay Times report Thursday.
Founded by Matthew Brown, a brewer at Tampa's Cigar City Brewing, and Dennis Decker, Pinellas Ale Works will be housed at 1962 First Ave. S. near Tropicana Field.
The duo has debuted their craft suds, including the Rocker Dog, Harold's Kolsch, Racer Dog and Thrill Hill, to the area through beer events like Cajun Cafe on the Bayou's Spring Beer Festival and the Bad Ass Beerfest put on by the Tampa Bay Brewing Company.
The Times article said Pinellas Ale Works will transform the 8,380-square-foot former auto repair shop into a tasting room, beer garden and brewery, with the capacity to produce 750 barrels a year.
The brewery plans to start serving by the end of the year.
