Friday, October 29: Whole Foods Market

Ready for a healthier more earth friendly Halloween? Join Whole Foods Market and the Tampa chapter of Green Halloween and treat your little ones to late afternoon or early evening of natural treats and goodies. Children up to age 12, along with a parent can make their way through our store, visiting the different departments, receiving treats as they go. Outside the store, local area vendors will be providing treats of their own for young and old alike. Reservations are required and can be made at [email protected]. Saturday, October 30: Whole Foods Market

Attend a free wine tasting with Professional Sommelier Raffi Abadjian, member of the AIS and the Italian Sommelier Association, at Whole Foods Tampa. Raffi will be featuring special selections from Pirovano and Malenchini Wineries. Saturday and Sunday, October 30-31: Pioneer Park, Dunedin

Celebrate Halloween and The Day of the Dead with Casa Tina's in Downtown Dunedin's Pioneer Park. There will be live music by La Lucha, crafts for the kids, pinatas, the Ballet Folklorico, a family parade, mariachis, food tents offering Mexican street food, and the list goes on. On Saturday night, dress up in your favorite Dia de Los Muertos outfit and march with in the Dias de los Muertos parade with 18 foot tall mojigangas (puppets), and community ofrenda (altar). Bring a picture of a departed loved one (friend, family, pet) to add to the giant ofrenda at the foot of the main stage in Pioneer Park. There will be candles, sugar skulls and arts and crafts for sale. Saturday and Sunday, October 30-31: John's Pass

The blissful October weather begs for something fun to do outdoors, so take a break from the mad dash of costume and party planning to unwind at the John’s Pass Seafood Festival, an annual Tampa Bay tradition for 25-plus years. Dedicated to fishermen lost at sea, the festival includes 60 local and regional artists, a fish-cutting competition, blessing of the fleet, an oyster-eating contest, a "real" haunted house, live music throughout the village, a street dance, Merbella’s live mermaids, Captain Tut’s Pirate Parrots, an expanded environmental area, fiddler crab races and a children’s area. Sunday, October 31: Dunedin House of Beer

Enter the Dunedin House of Beer HOB GOB'ln 1-mile and 5k runs that will take place in Downtown Dunedin. Why? The free beer after each lap and at the finish line provided by the Dunedin House of Beer. 5K finishers who complete the full 5K distance will be awarded 3 deep in every standard age group.
