The weekend-long Forks & Corks food and wine festival — which is gearing up for its 10th year and attracts thousands to Sarasota annually — has tickets to its Jan. 27 and 28 winemaker dinners and Grand Tasting on Jan. 29 available. Ticket sales for the Grand Tasting and special lineup of dinners (which will be revealed next month) begin at 7 p.m. Nov. 7.
The festival's Grand Tasting is set to pair food samples from some of the area's best restaurants with top-flight wines from 50-plus international wineries in the John and Mable Ringling Museum courtyard. And the dinner events, a combination of upscale meals and casual samplings hosted at various locally owned eateries, will allow guests to rub elbows with celebrities of the winemaking world — visiting winery owners included.
As the Sarasota-Manatee Originals (who present Forks & Corks each year) say, go eat like a local.
