I can't help but admire her chutzpah — she's one of those women who looks like she'll be one way, then she opens her mouth and completely surprises you with her nastiness; and she's got good flow, too. I dig the track that's been playing on the airwaves, "Fancy" (video after the jump) but it's possible you know her already from controversial tracks like "Pussy" (about getting head) . Various Artists, Farewell Transmission: The Music Of Jason Molina (Rock the Cause)
Music non-profit label Rock the Cause Records presents this double-disc tribute to late singer-songwriter Jason Molina (Ohia, Magnolia Electric Co.), who died of alcohol abuse-related organ failure at the age of 39 last year. Among the tributees: My Morning Jacket, Cory Branan, Communist Daughter, Murder by Death and Sarah Jaffe. A portion of the net proceeds album sales go to MusiCares as well as to Jason's family to help provide for the loved ones he left behind. Check out MMJ doing "Farewell Transmission" below.
