I found the wallet of my dreams at a trade show in Orlando. OK, not just any trade show. The trade show at Gay Days. So I guess the proprietors of Big Skinny know their audience: men who ask, “Does this wallet make me look fat?” But wallet bulk is not just an unsightly addition to the gluteal area, it’s murder on your spine (or so I’ve been told — when I used to carry a bulky wallet in my back pocket, I’d always take it out and forget where I put it). Big Skinny’s innovation? A hinge that allows the billfold to curve with the body so you don’t feel it, you don’t see it — and, if you’re not careful, you forget to take it out and put it on the bureau at night.
