It's finally Friday, which means the Rhythm & Vine Summer Soirée from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at Tosti's Spirits & Fine Wine is upon the region's St. Petersburg dwellers. As summertime rock and blues jams from Chuck Chronopoulos are highlighted inside the joint's intimate wine bar, guests will land St. Petersburg Distillery elixirs, including the Artisanal Vodka and Oak & Palm Spiced Rum, alongside a dozen wines. $10. 6:30-9 p.m. 5125 34th St. S., St. Petersburg, 727-867-7772.

Starting Saturday at Seminole Heights' Independent Bar and Cafe, commemorate Belgian Independence Day with rare Belgian beer drafts, mussels and pomme frites, a big bottle tasting and raffles. Brasserie de la Senne and St. Bernardus are among the featured breweries, and the celebration continues through Tuesday. Free, money for beer and food. 5016 N. Florida Ave., Tampa, 813-341-4883.


Also happening Saturday, the Animal Coalition of Tampa will partner with Ybor's Blind Tiger Cafe to produce a pop-up cat cafe at the local coffeehouse. Adoptable felines from the Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center will be showcased throughout the event, and the coalition will receive 20 percent of The Blind Tiger's food and drink proceeds. Certified sommelier Kevin Pelley is set to examine the globe's most excellent white wines during his 90-minute seminar in Tampa Monday. Inside The Epicurean Hotel's educational theater, students will sample tastes from locales like Germany, Greece and California as Élevage provides the night's cheese and charcuterie pairings. $55. 7 p.m. 207 S.
