3 DAUGHTERS BREWING 222 22nd St. S., St. Petersburg, 727-495-6002, 3dbrewing.com. Housed in St. Petersburg’s Warehouse Arts District, 3 Daughters Brewing opened in December, debuting its flagship Beach Blonde Ale.

7VENTH SUN BREWERY 1012 Broadway, Dunedin, 727-733-3013, 7venthsun.com. 7venth Sun has quickly established itself as one of the nation’s top breweries. Try a sip of Bretta Off Dead or Time Bomb.

ANGRY CHAIR BREWING COMPANY 6401 N. Florida Ave., Tampa, 813-892-1651, angrychairbrewing.com. The Seminole Heights brewery takes on myriad projects, from Berliner Weisse to a German Chocolate Cupcake Stout.


BARLEY MOW BREWING COMPANY 518 W. Bay Drive, Largo, 727-584-7772, barleymowbrewingco.com. Largo’s Barley Mow, known for its Quackalope IPA, is currently undergoing a major brewery expansion at an adjacent site.

BIG STORM BREWERY 2438 Merchant Ave., #103, Odessa, 727-807-7998, bigstormbrewery.com. The Odessa brewery expanded its brewing capacity less than a year after opening. Look for more of the flagship WaveMaker Amber Ale.

BLACK FOX MEADERY 209 Normandy Circle W., Palm Harbor, blackfoxmeadery.com. The soon-to-open meadery will feature Florida fruit-centric meads.

CIGAR CITY BREWPUB 15491 N. Dale Mabry, Tampa, 813-962-1274, cigarcitybrewpub.com. Cigar City Brewpub brewer Tim Ogden is concocting some incredibly rare and unique beers at the Carrollwood restaurant and brewery.

COPPERTAIL BREWING COMPANY 2601 E. Second Ave., Tampa, 813-247-1500, coppertailbrewing.com. The up-and-coming Ybor City brewery is wowing beer fans at local pop-up tastings. The brewery opens in March.

CYCLE BREWING 534 Central Ave., St. Petersburg, 727-320-7954. St. Petersburg’s bike-centric downtown brewery serves delicious pints of Cream & Sugar Please, Freewheel IPA, and more.

DUNEDIN BREWERY 937 Douglas Ave., Dunedin, 727-736-0606, dunedinbrewery.com. Florida’s oldest microbrewery continues a 20+-year history of quality brewing in the heart of delightful Dunedin.

ESB BREWING COMPANY 333 Falkenburg Road D-407, Brandon, 813-990-0700, esbbrewing.com. Brandon’s newest brewery is the talk of the town with its barley, malt and hoppy ales like the Sail Away IPA.

FLORIDA AVENUE BREWING CO. 4101 N. Florida Ave., Tampa, 813-374-2101, floridaavenueales.com. Florida Avenue’s Ale is an American wheat ale brewed with lemon, perfect for hot Florida days.

GREEN BENCH BREWING COMPANY 1133 Baum Ave. N., St. Petersburg, 727-800-9836, greenbenchbrewing.com. A beautiful brewery in the restored 1926 mechanic’s garage features saisons, stouts, sours and more.

LAGERHAUS BREWERY AND GRILL 3438 East Lake Road S., Palm Harbor, 813-343-2449, lagerhausbrewery.com. Started in 2006, Lagerhaus brews and serves up some of the best in German beers.

MAD BEACH CRAFT BREWING COMPANY 12945 Village Blvd., Madeira Beach, facebook.com/madbeachbrewing.com. Owned by Marcos Diaz, a Cuban refugee who arrived seven years ago and owns the hand-rolled cigar shops next door, Mad Pub is the latest example of craft beer finally spreading to the Pinellas Beaches.—Tom Scherberger

PEG’S CANTINA BREWPUB 3038 Beach Blvd. S., Gulfport, 727-328-2720, pegscantina.com. The Gulfport brewpub where Cycle Brewing got its brew-legs.

R BAR 245 108th Ave., Treasure Island, 727-367-3400, rbarti.com. R Bar’s cook/homebrewer started making good beer on the beach. Try the American IPA made from Amarillo hops, with a hint of coffee and caramel.

RAPP BREWING COMPANY 10930 Endeavour Way, Suite C, Seminole, 727-544-1752, rappbrewing.com. The notorious beer geek den in Seminole was named the best new brewery in Florida in 2012 by RateBeer.com. Sample unusual and historic beers like Rapp’s Gose.

SAINT SOMEWHERE BREWING COMPANY 1441 Savannah Ave. Unit E, Tarpon Springs, 813-503-6181, saintsomewherebrewing.com. Owner and brewer Bob Sylvester brews incredible Belgian ales from his Tarpon Springs spot. Get a bomber of Lectio Divina or Saison Athene.

SOUTHERN BREWING & WINEMAKING 4500 N. Nebraska Ave., Tampa, 813-238-7800, sbwbrews.com. The brewing gear hub also brews some quality beers of its own. Stop by the tasting room in Seminole Heights.

ST. PETERSBURG BREWING COMPANY 544 First Ave. N., St. Petersburg, 727-692-8809, stpetebrew.com. After three years, St. Petersburg Brewing Company is slated to open this March. We’re told headbrewer Jon McCraken, formerly of Tampa Bay Brew Co., has some tasty beer plans up his sleeve.

TAMPA BAY BREWING COMPANY 1600 E. Eighth Ave., Tampa, 813-247-1422, tampabaybrewingcompany.com. One of the fixtures in Tampa Bay’s beer scene remains a vital and vibrant brewery. Try the classic Old Elephant Foot IPA.

THREE PALMS BREWING COMPANY 1509 Hobbs St., Tampa, 888-813-4856, threepalmsbrewing.com. Three Palms' Pindo IPA won silver at 2013’s Florida Beer Pro Competition. Hoppy and tropical, it’s just one of many delicious brews they make.

TWO HENRYS BREWING COMPANY 5210 W. Thonotosassa Road, Plant City, 813-752-9100, twohenrysbrewing.com. The Plant City brewery, inspired by Henry Flagler and Henry Plant, opened last fall. Try the Gilded Age Pilsner or 7 Mile Bridge IPA.
