Though the odds look increasingly difficult that Florida officials will be able to circumvent Governor Rick Scott's decision to kill the Tampa-to-Orlando high speed rail route, a coalition of interested groups and individuals from the Tampa Bay area plan to hold a rally Monday in front of Tampa's City Hall to keep hope alive for the project.
Former Tampa City Council woman Linda Saul-Sena said a group she's involved with the Livable Tampa Roundtable along with the Hillsborough County League of Women Voters, the Sierra Club and others, will be gathering at 12:00 noon on Monday in front of City Hall Plaza, on the southeast corner of Kennedy Blvd. and Franklin Street to rally the troops on high-speed rail.
