Attend a Whole Foods wine tasting to help put healthier food in school lunchrooms

Lately, we've been hearing a lot about revolutionizing school lunch programs to help curb the childhood obesity epidemic. While some schools are getting on the bus for this cause others still need to catch up but don't always have the funding.

Whole Foods Market is partnering with Chef Ann Cooper, a.k.a. "The Renegade Lunch Lady," for the "Great American Salad Bar Project" fund drive to help schools make a change.

According to Whole Foods' website,

"Chef Ann has already transformed the school lunch experience for tens of thousands of children across America by helping their schools switch from processed foods to fresh, natural ingredients and scratch-made meals."

Whole Foods and Chef Ann have a goal of putting at least 300 salad bars in at least one school near each of Whole Foods' stores by this January.
