COURTESY OF GENX TAVERN

Beginning Sunday, August 25, GenX Tavern in downtown Tampa will serve up brunch.

As early as 11 a.m. you can slide in to start your Sunday Funday with their regular drink menu like adult Capri Suns, as well as new bevs like espresso martinis, a variety of mimosa combinations and loaded bloody marys.

Come thirsty and adventurous to try out boozy cereal options like Cocoa Puffs with milk mixed with Kahlua and Baileys, and a boozy yogurt parfait with a floater.

As far as food goes, the restaurant is crafting up non-traditional brunch options, so don't expect eggs Benedict.

One of the featured dishes will be the waffle fry brunch nachos packed with queso, chili lime crema, bacon, and topped with an egg sunny side up. Other bites include chicken and waffles in the shape of the Millennium Falcon, French toast with berry compote and a trio of deviled eggs.

Leave room for some Dunkaroos or a deconstructed Pop-Tar sammy.

Work it off with a game of skeeball or old school Mario, the weekend is yours.
