Make way for Florida craft breweries on Saturday at World of Beer's South Tampa locale.
The inaugural Florida Tap Fest SoHo, dedicated to the state's brewery scene and culture, is happening from noon until 3 a.m.
Though the company is known for supplying beeroisseurs with craft brews from around the globe, World of Beer will showcase more than 40 beers from more than 25 local breweries. Award-winning Florida brewers, some who have never tapped in Tampa before, will be there, too.
Enthusiasts will taste crafts from favorites like Seminole's Rapp Brewing Company, 3 Daughters Brewing of St. Petersburg and Cigar City Brewing in Tampa, as well as rarer suds that don't make their way to the Bay area often.
Three Palms Brewing, Green Bench Brewing Co., Funky Buddha Brewery, Swamp Head Brewery and St. Pete Brewing Company are among the breweries slinging their most coveted beers. Patrons can expect the Time Bomb IPA from 7venth Sun Brewery, the Imperial Red Ale from Pinglehead Brewing Company and more.
The rain-or-shine event will feature bar fare off World of Beer's new menu and live music sets from Woody, 2 to 7 p.m., and Miles Bosworth, 8 to midnight.
As soon as the festivities kick off, beer lovers will be able to enter a raffle to win brewery and World of Beer merchandise, including a Beer School Class from the franchise. Winners will be drawn throughout Tap Fest's run.
World of Beer will also have Friedreich's Ataxia Research Alliance wristbands available for $5, and the proceeds will be donated to the charity.
