Playing in front of a standing-room-only crowd at Al Lang Stadium four nights before Halloween, the boys in green and gold captured the NASL Soccer Bowl over Minnesota when local hero Jeff Attinella made three saves in a penalty shoot-out thriller. The victory gave the organization its second NASL championship and the first since it rejoined the league.
