Gulfport is about to be getting an ice cream service window this month connected to Stacey Purcell's Gulfport Realty office located at 2902 Beach Blvd.

That's right, locals Tina Grello and Janet Impastato have been in the process of launching Let It Be Ice Cream which will serve up novelty frozen treats. The couple is shooting to open by the end of August, just in time for Geckofest Street Festival on Saturday, August 31.

"Our products will be wholesome options for conscious indulging," Grello explains.

Visitors and locals can look forward to snagging prepacked delights from the walk-up window in the next few weeks.

"There will be something for everyone," Grello says before listing off selections ranging from vegan to nondairy to low-sugar treats.

Being that Grello is a dog enthusiast, as well as the entire city of Gulfport; there will be quality frozen dog treats to keep pups cool while they tag along.

Let It Be Ice Cream will also have prepackaged ice cream delights by Haagen-Dazs and Ben & Jerry's.

"We want to provide the highest quality and best ingredients."

Upon opening, the window will be open on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday from noon-9 p.m. Once the season picks up, hours will increase.

Now we wait for possibly the smallest business in town to announce the opening date.
