Tampa junior cooks ages 4 to 17 are taking over Ybor City's Centennial Park to demonstration their artistry in the kitchen.

Starting at noon Sunday, the youth will showcase the culinary skills they've learned from five local chefs during the Junior Chefs Cook-off. Through Junior Chefs of America, chefs Rhonda Taylor Deloatch, Faithlyn McKimmey, Paola Tazerez, Lauren Fury and Salan Taylor tutored the young cooks over the summer.

Winners of the annual food competition, which also acts as a fundraiser to help the nonprofit cooking school purchase cooking equipment and utensils for its students, will receive a scholarship to further their culinary experience. Though the event is free to attend, donations will be accepted.
