Dick Greco made it official last night — that he's in it to win it, declaring  in a 15-minute speech that he has what his various opponents lack (experience) and denouncing the idea of criticizing "career politicians."

The touchy-feely aspect of his character, so lovingly depicted by various reporters who have been in this town a lot longer than this scribe, was on full display last night, as the once and possibly future mayor of Tampa kissed a St.Pete Times reporter on the cheek after she concluded asking him questions about his candidacy.

Today is not only just another Tuesday, but the official end of the 2010 hurricane season here along the Gulf Coast.  Mark it down as another lame season for predictions by so-called "experts," who sometimes appear to rival political pundits and sports prognosticators in showing how inaccurate they can be.

And Mitch McConnell, John Boehner and Jon Kyl finally hook up with the president at the White House to chat about things — including a possible compromise on Bush-era tax cuts?
