Beach Drive's The Moon Under Water restaurant is under new ownership

And it looks like it'll stay the same.

Beach Drive's long-time restaurant The Moon Under Water's owners Alan and Suzanne Lucas are retiring after 20 years of operation, but that doesn't mean the doors are closing at 332 Beach Dr. NE.

Caledon Concepts – the boutique restaurant group that owns both of the Ceviche Tapas Bar & Restaurant locations, Che Lounge and Rococo Steak – has officially purchased The Moon Under Water, and will take over the operation of its latest concept on Tuesday, October 29.

“Being a part of the growth on Beach Drive in downtown St. Pete and seeing what the area has become has been a dream come true,” says Alan Lucas, owner of The Moon Under Water in a statement, “I am so grateful to have found a team of experienced and successful executives at Caledon Concepts who can take The Moon Under Water into the future.”

Looks like we don't have to worry about too many changes happening when the ownership changes hands, either. The restaurant group wants to continue the legacy The Moon Under Water over the last two decades.

“Caledon Concepts is incredibly excited to continue the legacy of The Moon Under Water,” says Lee Karlins, President of Caledon Concepts in a statement. “Alan and Suzanne have been fixtures in the St. Pete community, and we look forward to upholding their reputation of high-quality standards. This is a great addition to our already well-known brands and we look forward to welcoming The Moon Under Water to the Caledon family.”

Just a heads up, The Moon Under Water will be closed for lunch service on October 29 and will reopen for dinner service.
