Black Veil Brides, Wretched and Divine: The Story of the Wild Ones (Lava/Universal Republic)
A rock opera concept album about a group of rebels known as "The Wild Ones" who defend their hearts, minds and bodies against an organization called 'F.E.A.R.' The third effort from Hollywood's glam metal/prog-technical outfit Black Veil Brides is accompanied by a 45-minute film, Legion of Black, presented in a 24-hour online pay-per-view event that will likely be released in some other fashion in the near future. BVB brings the "Wild Ones" tour to State Theatre in St. Petersburg this Mon., Jan. 14.
Broadcast, Berberian Sound Studio Soundtrack (Warp)
The spectral soundscape in Peter Strickland's psychological thriller created by James Cargill and the late Trish Keenan of Broadcast sees its official US release, which was recorded prior to Keenan's untimely passing last year and draws influence from the sounds of avant-garde Italian composers Luciano Berio, Luigi Nono and Cathy Berberian.
Dropkick Murphys, Signed and Sealed in Blood (Born and Bred Records)
The Celtic punk rockers issue their eighth studio LP and second with producer Ted Hutt (Gaslight Anthem, Old Crow Medicine Show). Bassist and co-lead singer Ken Casey has described it as "catchy, fun, and as sing-along as can be." Dropkick Murphys will be backing the new album with their 2013 "St. Patrick's Day Tour," which hits Jannus Live in St. Petersburg on Sun., March 3. Check out the video for "Rose Tattoo" after the jump along with the rest of this week's new releases.
