Whether you and the kiddos want to visit mermaids, watch scientists dissect a shark or take a trip down a 22-foot shark slide, Tampa’s SharkCon has you covered next month when it takes over the Florida State Fairgrounds.
You can also meet Jaws actor Richard Dreyfuss at the Fairgrounds, and stick around to listen to this year’s speakers from National Geographic’s SHARKFEST. Scientists and field researchers from Shark Week and Animal Planet will also be speaking on-site.
The event runs from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 7-8.
Admission costs $19.95 for an adult 1-day or $24.95 for a 2-day. For kids, it’s $4.95 for a 1-day and $7.95 for a 2-day. If you want to shell out another $40, you can watch Jaws with Dreyfuss himself. Advance tickets for SharkCon Tampa are available now (parking is $8).
