“Transcendent” is how shows from new-age band Simrit (stylized “SIMRIT”) are often described. Led by the flowering Greek goddess that is Simrit Kaur, the California band is big in the yoga world but enjoyed mainstream attention when Go-Gos singer Belinda Carlisle lent her voice to the 2014 song “Kudrat Kavan.”

A West African 21-string harp called a kora, an electric harp and a Moog synthesizer are some of the instruments that merge with Kaur’s vocals.

Simrit plays Largo’s Central Park Performing Arts Center in October, the venue recently announced as it moves towards a bit of normalcy in programming. The center rearranged its seating, creating four top tables that are all six feet apart. Tickets are sold as a table and masks are required unless seated. Presale tickets are on sale now–use the password “SIMRIT” to get you and three of your friends a table.

Simrit. Friday, Oct. 8, 8 p.m. $24.50/$54.50. Central Park Performing Arts Center, Largo. largoarts.com
