If increased health, peace of mind and immunity to a deadly virus aren’t good enough reasons to get vaccinated, maybe free baseball tickets will do it.
The Tampa Bay Rays and Pinellas County health officials are giving fans the choice between either the Pfizer or Johnson & Johnson vaccines, as well as two complimentary tickets to a future home game.
The "Vaccinate at the Plate” initiative takes place from Tuesday-Thursday, June 15-17 from 3 p.m.-7 p.m. while the Rays are away for a series against the Chicago White Sox. Interested fans can park for free at Lots 6 and 7, and head to Gate 1 at Tropicana Field. No appointments are required.
The vaccines are free and no insurance is required.
The free pair of tickets are good for seats in the Lower Reserved or GTE Financial Party Deck during one regular-season home game, excluding games against the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox.
