Shiso Crispy’s new concept will open in the Edge District of St. Petersburg, Florida in December 2021.

Tampa food truck Shiso Crispy announced last week that it's opening a dumpling concept in a new food hall set to open up on the ground floor of Fusion 1560, an apartment building at 1560 Central Ave. N, according to I Love The Burg.

St. Petersburg’s new Shiso Crispy dumpling house is supposed to be open in the Edge District (stylized “EDGE”) by December 2021.

On the vegan-friendly menu so far: spring pea and roasted leek dumplings with dauban sauce, and you can grab a Shiso Sour beer to wash it all down with.

The food truck is known for its soup dumplings—aka XLB "xiao long bao," which are small buns with delicate skins that contain fillings and broth—and handmade gyoza. We’re pretty sure you’ll be able to grab all of it at the new location, but no specifics have been announced yet.

If you’re in St. Pete and can’t wait to get your hands on all the vegan-friendly fare, you can head over to Flying Boat Brewing at 1776 11th Ave. N. Make sure you check @shisocrispy on Instagram for details on hours before you head in, though.
