After a weekend soft opening, the second location of St. Pete’s Dissent Craft Brewing Company is opening at noon on Friday, Oct. 15 in Downtown Lakeland.

The original Dissent, a 1,200-square-foot brewery at 5518 Haines Road N., opened in 2017 by Chris Price and Dale Miller and has been producing “outspoken ales by outspoken people” ever since. Remember the Tiger King-inspired Berliner weisse “G.D.C.B.” (as in “God Damn Carol Baskin”)?

Hours for Dissent Craft Brewing’s new Lakeland location at 125 S Kentucky Ave. are not set in stone, but the brewery will open at 3 p.m Monday-Thursday and noon Friday-Sunday.

“We will evolve these as we learn more about our new community,” Price told Creative Loafing Tampa Bay in an email. “We will also be brewing on-site in addition to our tap room experience.”
