The Tampa Bay Lightning’s quest for a third straight Stanley Cup kicks off next week, and the National Hockey League (NHL), with help from Tampa Bay Sports Commission, celebrates with a free concert on Tuesday, Oct. 12.
Pop-rock outfit All Time Low headlines the 2021 NHL Face-Off Concert, at 5:30 p.m. from a stage in the water “where the Hillsborough River meets the Garrison Channel,” according to a press release.
The free concert can be watched from a boat, if you’ve got one, Tampa Convention Center’s Sail Plaza, if you don’t, or as part of ESPN’s pregame coverage, if you don’t want to leave your house.
After the concert, the Stanley Cup travels, by police boat, to ESPN’s stage outside of Amalie Arena then onto the championship banner-raising ceremony inside the venue before the Lightning takes on the Pittsburgh Penguins at 7 p.m. (ICYMI, or are new to town, the Lightning are the three time champs winning in 2004 plus back-to-back in 2020 and 2021.)
