Baton Rouge bluesman Tab Benoit brings his Swampland Jam to the historic Tampa Theatre on Saturday, Dec. 4, thanks to Ruth Eckerd Hall’s “On the Road” series.

Joining the Grammy-nominated musician are some heavy hitters in the Louisiana roots music scene including Big Chief Monk Boudreaux, Johnny Sansone and Waylon Thibodeaux.

Kansas City multi-genre-but-mainly-blues artist Samantha Fish and band opens the holiday-season show featuring drummer Josh Freese who’s played with Nine Inch Nails, Devo, The Replacements, and Weezer.

Benoit has played Tampa Bay a couple times since the pandemic started and has always been cautious of COVID-19 protocols, so this show should be no different. “Please note each show will have its own set of COVID-19 policies as regulations and best practices evolve,” the event page states.

Tickets from $34.50-$69.50 are currently on sale. For more information, go to tampatheatre.org.
