The West Palm Beach show is off, too.

Tampa and West Palm Beach concerts from Dead & Co. are, well, dead.

A reader email sent to Creative Loafing Tampa Bay shows correspondence from the Reverb nonprofit to its Florida volunteers, which says that the band’s Florida shows are canceled.

“So sorry to bring disappointing news, but the Dead & Co. tour has decided to cancel its shows in West Palm Beach and Florida,” Reverb, which sends volunteers to concerts to help spread the message for band-affiliated nonprofits, wrote.

Dead & Co.’s Tampa show was set for Oct. 7 at MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre, and the West Palm Beach show was Oct. 6 at iThink Financial Amphitheatre.

It was supposed to be the first big Tampa amphitheatre show that required a negative COVID-19 test or proof of vaccination for ticket holders with pit tickets.

An email from the band's public relations team blamed the cancellations on routing and production logistics, said refunds are available, and added that "Dead & Company is looking forward to performing in West Palm Beach and Tampa in the future."

Strange thing about this cancellation is that it comes four years after Dead & Co. canceled an Orlando show after guitarist John Mayer came down with appendicitis.
