You’ll soon be able to drink at two more local establishments. Last week, Seminole Heights’ Jug and Bottle, and forthcoming art compound Crab Devil, saw Tampa City Council approve both their requests for wet zoning.

" ...just really proud of the whole Crab Devil team, and really stoked to thrust into gear," Ogden wrote.
Ogden’s brewery will live on site at Crab Devil—located at 3800 N. Nebraska Ave.—and while the compound already came wet zoned, Crab Devil Company Officer Devon Brady told Creative Loafing Tampa Bay that the team had to re-apply because the footprint of the compound changed.
Working under an early start permit until now, Crab Devil “have been anxious to get the AB2 issue settled so that our building permits can be issued,” Brady said, “The immersive art portion of the project requires another whole design and permit set.”
“We are deep in the design phase and will be moving on to permitting as soon as we close the permit on the building this summer,” Brady added. Application renderings show a brewery, distillery, bar and retail space attached to Tampa’s first immersive Florida-art and oddities experience.
While all the permitting hoops are jumped through, Crab Devil is also still in the process of raising money to complete the project.
“The plan is to have the brewery and gallery operational by end of summer,” Brady said. For Jug and Bottle, as well, summer looks to be the goal.
“If everything goes smoothly, everything should be ready by late June,” Fouche said.
According to renderings on the city’s permitting website, Jug & Bottle’s forthcoming outside patio has 10 seats maximum on the north side of the building with a service area attached.
“We'll be building out a covered patio that runs along the side of the building. We're planning to have five tables in that section,” General Manager Ryan Fouche confirmed in an email to CL.
Jug and Bottle Dept., at 6203 N Florida Avenue, also houses vegan eatery 3 Dot Dash, so plant-based date nights will be able to be held on site in the future.
And don’t worry, you’ll still be able to go to Jug and Bottle and 3 Dot Dash while the expansion happens. “I don't anticipate having to close at any time as most of the construction will be outside and the space inside will remain relatively the same,” Fouche added.
